Ao visitarmos a cidade de Maastricht, região de Limburg não resistimos ao lindo passeio de Barco. Neste trajeto, de mais ou menos 50 minutos, foi possível chegar até as margens da Bélgica, que também é um país muito bonito.

No entanto, ao visitar Valkenburg mais uma vez, optamos pelo maravilhoso passeio de Trem, uma Locomotiva (STOOMTREIN) muito antiga: "MILJOENENLIJN" , ZUID-LIMBURGSE STOOMTREIN MAATSCHAPPIJ.
De lijn is gebruikt voor goederenvervoer en regulier personenvervoer. Vanaf 1988 is alleen het traject tussen de stations Landgraaf en Kerkrade Centrum nog in gebruik voor personenvervoer, het traject tussen Kerkrade Centrum en Simpelveld maakt sinds 1995 deel uit van een toeristische spoorlijn.
